Problems in Elementary Number Theory (hay gọi tắt là PEN) là một dự án mang tên "Project PEN" do Hojoo Lee sáng lập và cho đến nay đã có được 10 thành viên chính thức và đông đảo nhiều contributors từ khắp nơi trên thế giới.
(PEN đã được chọn làm một trong những tài liệu chính thức cho dự án "Hướng tới IMO" của lớp Toán 06-09)

Nhìn chung quyển sách này không có bài giải kèm theo. Nếu bạn nào muốn tìm lời giải thì có thể lên mathlinks.ro và tìm một mục giành riêng cho PEN. Ngoài ra, PEN cũng có một forum chính thức http://www.problem-solving.be/pen/index.php để các bạn thảo luận về các bài toán trong quyển PEN và một blog chính thức của PEN tại http://projectpen.wordpress.com/ Cả forum và blog của PEN đều có bài giải các bài toán trong quyển PEN!!!

HISTORY
Hi, everyone! This is Hojoo Lee from Korea. Here is a brief history on Project PEN. Some years ago, I have compiled up number theory problems from various Mathematics competitions including IMO and Putnam. I’ve uploaded the draft of PEN Problems Book in 2005, PEN2005.tex & PEN2005.pdf, on my homepage. (Warning. It turned out that these files have too many typos, mistakes, errors!)

After that, I’ve completely stopped working on this project. However, Project PEN is not dead. Since 2006, Peter Vandendriessche from Belgium is doing excellent work on PEN as the main author of PEN Problems Book. In early 2007, he created a brand new site PEN Website on http://www.problem-solving.be/pen. In July 2007, we’ve moved to MathLinks, which is the world’s best Math online community.

The current version of PEN Problems Book is PEN-20070711.pdf. It is, of course, available on the supporting site at MathLinks or on the original PEN Website. Recently, I’m working on PEN Solutions Book. Many people around the world contributed and still contribute on Project PEN!
